CITROEN TYPE HY – SPAR – 1969
The HY was born in 1948. Post-war France needed utility vehicles to rebuild the country and revive the economy. It was born under the impetus of Pierre Boulanger who chose specifications that favored practicality, robustness and the use of existing parts in the range. Indeed, its development began during the war in the greatest secrecy and without attracting the attention of the occupier. Its loading capacity of 1200 kg, and its ease of loading allowed it to survive the decades, it was produced until 1981
