Produced in huge numbers, it was mainly used to transport ‘Panzergrenadiers’, but during the war several versions were developed to meet differing operational requirements. The Wurfrahmen rocket launcher version was built on the Sd.Kfz.251. Equipped with 6 compartments, 3 on each side, intended for the launch of rockets of different sizes, it was nicknamed “Stuka zu Fuss”. The P-51 was developed very quickly and was built around the Packard V12 engine, the well-known and reliable Rolls-Royce Merlin engine manufactured under license in the United States, capable of delivering more than 1,600 HP. Thanks to its engine, the Mustang was able to reach the speed of 700 Km\/h. The P-51D, the most famous and successful version, was armed with six 0.5 M2 Browning machine guns installed in the wings. The Mustang was used in all war theaters, but it best known duty was to escort bombers in raids over Europe. At the end of the Second World War the \"Mustang\" continued to be deployed on various operational fronts. The F-51 (a new designation adopted in 1948 where F stood for fighter) also participated in the Korean War. It continued to be a highly reliable aircraft and thanks to its extensive range, could successfully carry out operations that the most modern jet aircraft of the period were unable to perform. Designed and developed by the British manufacturer Hawker Siddeley in the sixties. Thanks to its single Pegasus turbofan engine and the adoption of four vertical nozzles for directing the thrust generated, the Harrier immediately obtained a great success. Widely used by the British Royal Air Force, the Harrier Gr. 1 is also known to have won a race competition. It participated to the Daily Mail Trans-Atlantic Air Race between London and New York held in May 1969 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the first transatlantic crossing. The Panzer I tank had in fact a protection and armament capability no longer in keeping with the operational needs of the German armoured divisions. However, it had good mobility and a robust chassis which was ideal for the positioning of the anti-tank gun, which was sited behind an open steel shield. The Panzerjager I was deployed by the Wehrmacht during the invasion of France, in North Africa and in the early stages of Operation Barbarossa in 1941. It held a goodammunition supply, with over 70 rounds available for gunners. The Panzer I tank had in fact a protection and armament capability no longer in keeping with the operational needs of the German armoured divisions. However, it had good mobility and a robust chassis which was ideal for the positioning of the anti-tank gun, which was sited behind an open steel shield. The Panzerjager I was deployed by the Wehrmacht during the invasion of France, in North Africa and in the early stages of Operation Barbarossa in 1941. It held a goodammunition supply, with over 70 rounds available for gunners. It has been produced in a significant number of units and it formed the backbone of United Stated armoured forces during at those time. It has been produced in several variants and versions. The first version to be produced on wide scale was the Sherman M4A1 characterised by the rounded edges of the fully casted upper hull. Even the turret had a rounded appearance. However the most important strength of the tank was its project. The Sherman was reliable, cheap and easy to produce in great numbers. The M4A2 version was similar to the previous one but it was Diesel-powered with General Motors Twin G-41 Engine. At the beginning the M4A2 was dedicated to support the war activities of allied nations as Soviet Union and Great Britain but a lot of tanks were used by the United States Marine Corps.
